Our 6 principles

Counted the way class counts.

Korean Taekwondo counts in Korean. So do the six things we are really teaching.

  1. Hana · one

    Respect

The most important value in Taekwondo. For instructors, for parents, for each other.

  2. Dul · two

    Self-Discipline

Doing it properly, even when nobody is counting for you.

  3. Set · three

    Focus

Eyes up, ears open. Listening skills start in our class for two-year-olds.

  4. Net · four

    Confidence

Parents see it growing a little with each class.

  5. Daseot · five

    Safety

Taekwondo is a defensive martial art, and your child's safety is our highest priority.

  6. Yeoseot · six

    Leadership

Where students grow next: helping lead the class and speaking up with confidence.

"We don't teach only physical techniques but also we teach respect, courage, confidence and many more values."

Master Instructor

Hello, I'm Master Oh.

  • 6th-Degree Taekwondo Black Belt
  • 5th-Degree Wushu Master

"For over a decade, I have had the opportunity to teach and work with children and families throughout the South Riding, Aldie, and Stone Ridge communities. My goal is not only to teach martial arts skills, but also to help every student develop confidence, discipline, respect, self-esteem, and a strong body and mind."

And Instructor JP, who a parent says "has a knack for working with young kids and knows how to teach and explain in developmentally appropriate ways while still being silly and fun."
